Fibromyalgia and pain in the legs

Suffer – with the leg pain of fibromyalgia? The pain associated with tender points and trigger points on multiple sites? Often referred to them as competition     POINTS    , they are actually softer     SPACES    .

I did not find anyone with fibromyalgia who simply have a    POINT    of pain or tenderness. (However, using sensitive points and widespread pain areas for diagnosis) and because the sensitive points differ from trigger points, also refer to the article “trigger points for further analysis    of the TRP    in” fibromyalgia.

Now, most of the fibro people describe a “zone” of pain that radiates into surrounding tendons or trigger points. Often there is an engagement with a tendon, a ligament or associated    TRP    (trigger point). This is what causes the pain to radiate or extend.

Take, for example within the sensitive points of the knee. This zone may extend, on average, 2-4 inches above and below the inside of the knee. So it really makes more sense to call a reference to    AREA    pain, especially for working solutions. Yes, there are lots of points sensitive to the lower end of the fibrous body.

Some activities of daily living (ADL) may aggravate the leg pain fibromyalgia

Examples are sitting for long periods of standing in one place, the movement or weight shift while standing, driving, travel, cleaning, etc.

What can aggravate the leg pain of fibromyalgia? Trigger points, inactivity, loss of muscle mass, low back pain, sciatica, SI joint participation, certain medications, cold / flu and more. The interesting thing about the leg pain associated with fibromyalgia is that no matter if you are standing, sitting or lying.

the propensity of pain in the lower quadrant of fibro body is increased by the trigger points in the layers of muscle tissue very sensitive areas that are not directly related to an activity or exercise.

Fibromyalgia results in pain when the leg strength and agility are lost.

The longest muscle and widely used in the leg (also known as the sartorius muscle in the area quadricep) is responsible for most of our mobility in the lower quadrant of the fibrous body. Here in the picture I will hi-lited areas that cause more pain in the lower body fibro.

When this muscle and surrounding muscles become conditioned by all around this area have also weakened, including tendons and ligaments.

Mobility can be lost and these “areas” of interest become even more (as indicated in the table below cons), which extends into the pain sensitive points above and below the actual element in place knee.

The sensitive points in the end zone at the end can also send a pain in the leg, often on the sides and back of the legs. Hip and leg pain may result because of the strip (Illiotibial legs outside) extends from the hip region to the side of each of the legs and when this area is fixed may cause a sensation severe burning and stiffness.

Weakness and / or shortening of the hip abductors can also cause extreme tension and reduce the mobility. Illiotibial band syndrome (ITBS    ) can occur in athletes through repetition and overuse, but this painful condition is not uncommon for people with fibromyalgia.

Now this is where there is some controversy. Do fibro worsening or are these points / areas fibro body weaker and weaker? Do you suffer from chronic myofascial pain of fibromyalgia? This may be why you feel leg pain worsens because there are many trigger points layers in the lower body.

One thing to consider with fibromyalgia and pain in the legs is that all able to stay long, as sitting or standing may increase pain and activate trigger points    . Tender points are still there acertain level, but these are the trigger points that become repetitive activéespartirmouvements or be in a position too long.

I say, I do not recommend sitting for a long time first thing in the morning. When we go from lying in bed in a sitting position first thing in the morning, it creates more stiffness in the lower back, hips, legs and knees.

I had to start thinking outside the box and that’s when I start to create specific exercises fibro and start working with my fibromyalgia pain in the leg in a way I had not done before. This does not mean that we can “cure” ALL fitness for pain, but when the strength and agility is lost, everything suffers. So now we must look at what counter this phenomenon has become so common these days fibro.

Packaging coherent set of fibro

People ask “how do you train with Fibro? “However, the biggest question should be” why not? “It’s never all or nothing.

I understand. Why, we have to treat this condition in terms of air conditioning, no temporary relief of pain. Essentially, we want and need to create more    TERM    pain relief and the subsequent independence with age with a chronic disease.

This is verified and why I became a fitness trainer and studied intensively to create exercises and routines, incorporating means to reduce the severity of everyday activities that can aggravate the pain of fibro specific leg.

Often at the end of a given day, the pain of fibromyalgia in the leg could be even greater than the pain of the upper body. Although they finally crosslinked after prolonged standing or sitting in a job or computer, legs and tendons are often the first to be affected.

It is important to know that these are everyday activities that can be harmful to a body of fibro and not through conditioning exercises safely and effectively. There are everyday activities, such as cleaning bath or heavy penalty transport that can be harmful to a fibro body, where the concentrated physical training that “protects” the body and builds strength and foundation.

What areas of writing and bruises?

Bruising and tenderness may occur with pain in the legs, especially if you tend to varicose veins that cause more pressure around these vulnerable areas. Please pay attention to any invasive procedures for the health of the vein, it may be helpful to cope if the bulging veins or veins become even more important. This can happen to men and women.

Other treatments for the symptoms of fibromyalgia pain in the legs

myofascial treatment

It may be helpful to try to “working” light on a foam roller or work with an experienced therapist in myofascial. It should not always be extremely painful to “work” in these areas, but there is an advantage to learn to work with these points / areas affected in a way that is healing, not harmful to the body fibro.

Bowen therapy     is a massage therapist trained in Bowen can also be very beneficial. With the  Bowen therapy, the body learns to adjust and   relax the muscle stimulation and  release. Beaucoupgens positive rapportentrésultats dethérapie Bowen and highly recommend giving a try.

The processing of sensitive points

Another useful Rx uses the    compression wear     in the legs and knees, where appropriate, before and after exercise. We experimented with different types of compression, in recent years, using compression stockings, sleeves and also our own cutting old socks and other pieces of hardware to find what works best for different compression ratios. This can increase circulation, relieve tendons “soft”, and relieve pain in the affected areas.

Low back pain is obviously a different theme of leg pain of fibromyalgia, except at one point. low back pain often involves the sciatic nerve can rediate intense pain down one leg or the other.

Recently, I experimented with some type of treatment pressure point that provides considerable relief. There Nature Pillows    “beActive”    HUG. I like to wear at night and sometimes all night, I think I have really less low back and leg pain in the morning.

If you are too affected by fibromyalgia pain in the leg, there are many ways to support this area by the movement, strength and range of motion exercises target.

The drugs often used to treat pain (salt bath, natural anti-inflammatory drugs of any kind, gentle massage, etc.) can be useful to, but it becomes really essential to create and use a coherent program of re – packaging at all levels is possible for every body fibro.

And because the sensitive points are different trigger points (TRP) in the area of the leg, see page POINTS / TRIGGER here on the site.
